Angel Babies

Buster

Janie

Judy

Here is a set from Merrill 1943, Angel Babies.  This adorable set is incomplete, I only have 3 of the baby dolls.  This was part of a larger lot purchased from goodwill online.  I always mix this set up with Heavenly Babies.

Vintage Catalog Clothing

Here are some vintage catalog clothing cut outs from the 1920s or 30s.  These were in a lot I purchased from ebay.  No dolls are included, but one can be made. (future project?)

Thumbelina

The latest issue of OPDAG Paper Doll Studios 108 Favorite Films is out.  And this is my entry, Thumbelina.  She is based on the Don Bluth film, which is now owned by 20th Century Fox.  The movie came out in 1994 and was a childhood favorite.  As a kid, I really wanted a Thumeblina paper doll because I loved her wedding gown and beetle costume.  I included many of the outfits from the film here.  I am currently working on one more page of clothing and a larger scale size of this doll.  I used Adobe Illustrator CS5.  Use double stick tape to attach the wings to the back of the doll.

Dolly Dingle World Flight Holland and Burgandy

Here is a cut set of Dolly Dingle from Oct 1932.  I've always loved this doll base because it reminds me a little of Snow White with her dark hair and red bow.  She has 2 outfits, 2 hats, a pair of wooden shoes, and a windmill.  The main colors are red and green.  This set is complete.  The second set is from Jan 1933, Dolly Dingle World Flight in Burgundy.  She has 2 outfits, 1 hat and a leprechaun.  I am missing a hat and shoes for this set.

Lottie Superhero Contest

Those of you who have followed my blog for a while know I am a big fan of Arklu Lottie Dolls. http://www.lottie.com/

I currently own 5 different Lottie dolls and will probably purchase more in the future.  Anyway, Arklu is hosting a Super Hero Outfit Design Competition for Children 10 and Under on Facebook or through the Lottie FanClub.  I decided to make my own design using the template provided.  My Super Hero Lottie has ice powers inspired by the Frozen movie.  I would love to see a Magical Girl Lottie as well as a super powered one.

Cover Girls

Dorothea

Vivian

Margo

Here are three lovely models from the set Cover Girls, Merrill, 1944.  It took me a while to identify these ladies, I knew right away they were Merrill.  But at first I thought 'boarding school...' nope.  Liberty bells?  nope.  I went through a lot of Merrill sets from the era.  Not a complete set, some small tears on the clothing and the dolls have some bends. This is from a larger lot I purchased from Goodwill online stores.

Bob

Here is a partial set of First Date from 1944 by the Merrill Publishing Company.  This was part of a larger lot purchased from Goodwill online stores. The clothes are by Clara Ernst Barnes.  There are four dolls, two girls and two boys.  This is not a complete set and some of the outfits have rips and tears.  The dolls are also used, with some missing limbs and repairs.

Dolly Dingle Paper Doll

Here is a paper doll by Grace G Drayton, most likely from the Dolly Dingle series.  I do not know a date for this doll or if it is complete.  She has been pasted on heavier paper, so I cannot say for sure if she came from a magazine.  Please let me know if you have any information on this lovely doll.  She has 3 outfits and features two main colors, pink and green.

Daisy and Lily in Color

Here is the final color version of Daisy and Lily Easter paper dolls.  I tried to use a lot of light pastel colors for spring, include blues, pinks, and yellows. I added some patterns to a few of the dresses.  Have a Happy Easter.  I may not post this weekend.

Daisy and Lily Easter Dolls

Here are my Easter paper dolls for the year.  They are two girls named Daisy and Lily.  Each page has 4 outfits, so a total of 16 outfits, 8 outfits for each doll.  There are also 6 sets of shoes, 4 hair accessories, and one sharable basket.  The cloths are vintage inspired.  This is the black and white line art of the dolls.  I will post the finished colored version later this week.
