Mr. and Mrs. Allen

I only have this single page from Wee Wisdoms magazine featuring Mr. and Mrs. Allen.  I do not know if it had a second page of outfits.  This is from December 1939 and the artist is Dorothy Wagstaff.  Each doll has one outfit and a hat.  The main colors are black and red.

OPDAG News (Original Paper Doll Artist Guild) Issue 32 theme is Royalty with featured artists Marilyn Henry and Colette Cole.  All the pages are in black and white, not all pages are scanned.  In fact, my issue is a little fragile from age so I didn't scan as many pages. This issue is from August 1992.

Handmade Paper Dolls from Catalog Pages

Back

These beautiful creative handmade paper dolls are certainly unusual.  The set features four heads with long 'tab's that slip in the back of gowns.  The back of the dresses have a bit of cardboard with a gap for the heads to slip into.  the outfits are most likely cut from old catalog pages and almost all are black and white. If I had to date this, I would say early 1900s pre 1920s.  A very special part of my collection.
