Elizabeth Taylor

Here is a paper doll set featuring Elizabeth Taylor.  This is set number 2112 from 1954 published by Whitman.  The dolls are heavy cardboard.  I have the cover but have not had time to scan it yet. I have a few other Elizabeth Taylor sets to post later. 

Laura

Here is a two page magazine paper doll from Doll Reader August 1993.  This paper doll is Alice Lester Leverett's Laura drawn by Sue Shanahan.  It makes me think of Halloween because of all of the costumes.  She has two ballet outfits (three if you count the base doll) along with a costume for a witch, bride, and princess.  I have not been posting as often and will not post often next month.

Sister Priscilla

Here is anther Good housekeeping magazine paper doll  She is from November 1923. She has two hats and a dress as well as shoes.  The artists are Berta and Elmer Hader.  This is a single page doll and I do not have the extra page of instructions.

I recently picked up a series of vintage children's books titled "The Bookshelf for Boys and Girls"  I have nine volumes and an Index.  Each volume is a different theme.  The first volume is Nursery Favorites Old and New.  The copyright is 1955 by The University society, Incorporated.  It includes a long list of acknowledgements for other stories featured in the book.  There is also a long list of Illustrators, I tried to label the pictures but it's hard to sort through.  I have scanned a few pages from Volumes 2,3, and 4.  I am working on finishing scanning the other volumes of this series.
