Easter Idea

hello all. Easter is just around the corner.  Here's a cute idea.  Hide paper dolls!  These medium plastic eggs fit Polly Pocket perfectly. Find Polly here
You can use bigger eggs for bigger sets or try shrinking them down.  Also, if the doll doesn't fit but the clothing does, then give the base doll as a reward for finding the clothing or at the begging as a challenge to find the outfits.  I put a few outfits in each egg (about three) but if you have more eggs you can do a single outfit in each.  Hope everyone has a Happy Easter.  My color version of the Easter doll will be up soon.

Barbie 1994

Here is a Barbie Paper Doll from Peck Aubry dated 1994.  I do not have the folder for this set.  The set includes 3 pages (1 sheet folded) of clothing in color and 3 pages in black and white.  I also have a book format of this including the Swirl Ponytail doll from 1997.  Barbie is owned by Mattel.

Bedknobs and Broomsticks

Here is the uncut set Bedknobs and Broomsticks based on the movie which is based on books "The Magic Bed-Knob; or, How to Become a Witch in Ten Easy Lessons (1943) and Bonfires and Broomsticks (1945)" by English children's author Mary Norton. The movie was produced by Disney and released in 1971.  The paper doll book was published by Whitman in 1971 and was authorized by Disney.  I've never seen the movie so I do not know how accurate the very colorful wardrobe is.  The set includes the five characters and six pages of clothing. The cover has art of a town and drawings of the characters.

Jane Arden's Wardobe

I just realized I have a new big scanner.  I should dig these comic dolls out and see if the page will fit.  The newspaper is fragile, so I worry about it tearing when unfolding.  Here is Jane Arden's Wardrobe from 3-2-1941.  This sheet features a blonde (one of Jane's friends?) with 5 outfits with two pairs of shoes and three tiny hats (the kind that get lost once they are cut out).  I love the red white and blue swimsuit.  There are lots of colors on this comic page.

St. Patrick's Day Paper Doll

I actually finished something BEFORE a holiday!  Featured above is my 2016 St. Patrick's Day paper doll featuring a wardrobe of green doe in marker.  I've included the two sketch pages as well.  I'm thinking of adding more outfits to this doll in the future, and may hold a contest to help design her wardrobe. St. Patrick's Day is next week on the 17th.  So if you have any outfit ideas, sketches, pinterest, internet photos or otherwise, please send them to my email before next week and I'll try to add them to her existing fashions.

Correction. Dolly Dingle Visits the Palace of the Grand Moguls.
