Paper Doll Collaboration 2018 December Ugly Sweater
This month's theme was ugly sweater. This is the last theme for the 2018 collaboration project, as the month is December and the years is ending. But worry not, we will be doing another project in 2019 (details still in progress). For this theme, I drew my own sweater vest that I've had since I was a kid, it's the one on the right, with gingerbread man buttons. the second outfit is a reindeer with Christmas lights, I imaging this would light up when the nose is pressed or something. Trying to work on a New Years doll, but may not be done in time. Thanks to Julie and Rachel for all the wonderful outfits they designed this year and agreeing to go another round!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays card
This year I designed this card, inspired by a certain famous fashion doll and her holiday outfits. The first page is the front cover and back of the card with the second page placed on the back side of the first, with each of the other pages on top of it (does that make sense!?). It would be folded in the middle and stapled together. She has 9 full outfits and 3 bottoms for the outfit she is wearing, along with 3 pairs of shoes, 7 hair pieces, a few purses and lots of tiny accessories. The inside reads "Warmest thoughts and best wishes for a joyful holiday season. May your days be filled with magic and cheer!" with enough room to sign and leave a message of your own. I don't know if I will have time to color this, I'm working on another paper doll as well right now!

For You Nana at Christmas
I don't collect Christmas cards... but I found this one at a store last year and had to have it! This adorable card is from American Greeting. No date. The front says For you Nana at Christmas with a darling illustration of a little girl caroling, she has a flocked outfit. Inside the card is another drawing of the little girl on the left, under it is written PS where's my bag of cookies Nana, huh? The right side has the saying "Wishing you a Christmas day that you'll spend happily 'cause you're the nicest Nana there ever, ever could be!" and it is signed.

Paper Doll Collaboration 2018 November Military
This month's theme was military. I decided to draw a realistic modern version of the cameo uniform on the right and a more 'hollywood' interpretation on the left aka what I think of when I think of a soldier; a tank top, cameo carpis, dog tags and combat boots. I drew these at school, with the new Adobe CC, but when I got home, Adobe CS5 could not correctly open the file, so I couldn't modify them at all.

Copies from Brenda Starr Newspaper Comics
Some time ago I acquired a large lot of newspaper comic paper dolls. These sheets were part of the lot but they are only black and white copies of the originals. These are from 1947 and 1948. Might be fun to color.

Last Inktober 31
Inktober is now over. Day 31 was a Free spot, to do any theme desired. I did goth lolita inspired mix and match pieces. My next project? Perhaps a Thanksgiving paper doll? I have to work on school stuff though. Had fun with this challenge and plan to do this next year too
My prompt list for the month can be found here.

Inktober 28 29 30
Inktober is just about over. Can't believe it's HALLOWEEN! Day 28 theme was mermaid. I tried to make it different from the sea nymph I made for the mythical creature theme. I tried to create some mix and match options and also did a scallop mermaid gown (pain to draw). Day 29 was zombies, so lots of torn clothing and blood stains. Again, focused on mix and match features. Day 30 was vampire. I kept drawing spider webs for some reason... Mix and match tops and bottoms along with a blood stained dress. Today is a mystery/free theme. Can you guess what I'm doing? It will be posted sometime tomorrow or Friday.
My prompt list for the month can be found here.

Inktober 25 26 27
Still going! October is almost over and I managed to keep up with this project so far. Day 25 was Super Heros. I decided on a star theme. The first hero is Atomic Star, a classic super hero. Then the second is Star Dust, a more modern slightly sexy hero, and finally is Secret Star, a spy like super hero similar to Black Widow. Some boots and a mask to complete the set.
For Day 26 elements theme I did a fire dress, a leaf/wood nature dress with bark corset, a periodic table of elements shirt, a pair of capris with clouds for wind, and a raincoat with rain print for water along with rain boots.
Day 27 was Zodiac so I included a dress with zodiac symbols, a shirt with the zodiac circle, a pencil skirt with the constellations and another top with the Libra symbol (I'm a Sagittarius but Libra seemed like the easiest to draw). Also included is a Chinesese style dress called a cheongsam with the Chinese characters for the Chinese Zodiac (I traced these so they would be as accurate as possible), as well as a pair of baggy bell bottoms with stylized animals of the Chinese Zodiac. Finally I'm not sure about the last dress because it's based on the Zodiac Killer symbols, might be considered tasteless but I feel like it would be something sold at Hot Topic around Halloween. She also has a pair of slippers.
My prompt list for the month can be found here.

Paper Doll Collaboration 2018 October Halloween Costumes
Halloween is next week! But Christmas stuff is everywhere in stores right now... Poor Halloween! I drew three classic Halloween costumes. A witch with broom, hat, and pointed boots, a vampire with cobweb accents, and an Egyptian with wig/crown. Overall I like how these turned out. I'm surprised how quickly I was able to finish these, considering I've been focusing on my Inktober Project.
