Wow, somehow it's the end of May!  This month's theme was MerMay (mermaids).  Above are three tails and three hair styles.  The first is very plain and simple.  The second is shell bra with pearl accents.  The third is a star fish top with a more sea creature tail and accents.

Here's another paper doll from PåLægs chokolade Danish Spreads chocolate. It features a baby boy and girl (twins?) with outfits taht can fit both dolls. A bed and bath are also on the boxes.

100 Days

Continuing the 100 days project an Instragram challenge to do something crafty each day.  Instragram @missmissypaperdolls. Here's another newspaper sheet from the Movie Dressograph series featuring the movie star Sally Eilers with four outfits and two hats and extra shoes. From the St. Louis Post Dispatch.  Dated March 20 1932.

Fashion of February 1848

This single sheet paper doll is in black and white, great for coloring.  I don't know where it came from, the paper is yellowed and think and is signed by the artist, Diane Albland.  I have no more information, she came with a group of paper dolls from various newsletters and catalogs. No date either!  She has two outfits and two hats

Another jointed paper doll sheet from this series, this features Simple Simon.  The artist is Bess Bruce Cleaveland. I'm not too familiar with this rhyme.

Tribute Giraffe with Attendant Painting

I had to do a project for my Art history class. We had a choice of either writing an essay or making a copy of a work of art.  I had to write an essay for another class, so I chose to recreate an artwork.  I chose the painting titled "Tribute Giraffe with Attendant" which used to be attributed to Shen Du from 1414.  You can see it on wikipeida link here link

The painting is on fabric, but not silk because of the cost and the availability.  The pictures are cut off, it was a little too large for my scanner and too hard to photograph.

Here are three various mother's day cards that to me, look like reused Easter cards!  Scanned backs if any information was on back regarding maker, but last one just had numbers.  No mother's day paper doll this year from me, just not any time.

Here's another page of a jointed paper doll.  This one features Tom Tittlemouse (not familiar with that rhyme). it is signed Bess Bruce Cleaveland. It is black and white, meant to be colored and needs brads for assembly.
