Here is a Movie Dressograph featuring Mitzi Green, a child star from the era. This doll has 4 outfits, a sweater, a collar, one hat and two pairs of shoes. This St. Louis Dispatch page was published on December 20th 1931.
Paper Dolls of Famous Faces by Jean Woodcock has a list. According to the book the newspaper ran Dressographs (movie and opera) from, November 1st 1931 to August 23rd 1936 for a total of 252 sets. I know I have at least 50+ sets but far from all of them.
