This project started out as a mother's day paper doll. The idea was to make a base with changeable heads inspired by vintage housewives. The outfits were going to be days of the week (baking, mending, washing, ect) but I never finished the project. I thought it relied too much on tracing and decided not to finish it. Here's the base and heads I did finished, (planned on seven) followed by the references I used (all from pinterest)
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the style of these!!!! Have you seen "Timeless"? It's a time travel show and I really want paper dolls of it but I'm only good at drawing clothes. This style would be perfect with it's interchangeable heads for the different period hairstyles. And there's an outfit in the third episode that would be a perfect base outfit if the skirt was changed to make it look like a strapless swimsuit instead!
