Monster High Draculaura

 

Happy Halloween everyone!  Above is a  old paper doll I drew of Draculaura from the Monster High series of dolls by Mattel.  I never colored her and I planned on doing more of the Monster High ghouls but never got around to it.  She has her classic outfit along with Dawn of the Dance, Gloom Beach and 13 wishes.

Marvelous Fun and Games  is from a comic book I beleive.  Jessica Drew aka Spider-Woman paper doll here with her costume and normal clothing.  That is quite some hair!  This one is 1-20-1980 and drawn by (Owen) McCarron

This paper doll is from Doll Castle News and dated January/February 1979,  Mabel has four outfits, a hat, and a rocking horse.

This Tillie page is from May 3 1936 and features dual tone coloring (just red, green, and black)  she has two dresses.  doll and dresses by Shirley Levan.

If you are wondering, yes I did skip a couple of days!  Day 7 and 8 will be posted later.  The sketches did not scan properly so I skipped to the sketches that did scan in so here is day 9, artist.

Mickey- A little Girl - A Peace Doll of the Fourties from the artist Helen McCook.  This black and white paper doll is from Doll Castle News and dated March/April 1978.  She has 5 outfits and a hat and a baby brother!  the illustrations around the edges are  quite fun as well.

This Tillie panel is dated 6-3-1934 and features a lovely ruffled blue dress and a cowboy outfit complete with hat.  The drawings were sent in by Charlotte Slough.

 Yeah so it's taking a bit longer then I thought to work on this, but it is in progress.  i've sketched 4 days and finished the first costume below.  Day 2 is clown,  Also modified the base a little bit so he's not so pointy in some places.  will be working on this today, so if I finish I'll post more

Samantha A Peace Doll

 

This black and white paper doll is from the artist Helen McCook. I think this is a copy, because there is no dated information.  The girl is from around 1908 and is lovely posed in a chair reading a book.  she has four outfits, two with books and two with dolls. These were found in Doll Castle News.

This Tillie panel is dated 4-16-1933.  she has two outfits and a hat.  Both are very stylish, I would wear either of these dresses!  Drawings by Helen Isham.

McLaughlin's XXXX coffee

 

This is a die cut premium for McLaughlin's XXXX coffee featuring a girl wearing a red cape.  She openes her cape to reveal a cat in a muff.  There were a series of these but I'm not sure how many.  I only have the one.  From the late 1800's early 1900s

 So for class, I am making a fictional brand that sells unisex gender neutral Halloween costumes.  For this brand, I decided to make a mascot, Kinder Cat.  So for Drawtober, I will be making costumes/outfits for my mascot character below,
