Here is a two page paper doll from Children's Playmate featuring a dutch doll and four outfits, with one hat. The paper doll was drawn by Elaine Ends and published in April 1947. I've also scanned the inside pages that include art by Fern Bisel Peat.
This is a single page paper doll with clothes on the back that are to be traced and made into homemade clothing. This is from Good housekeeping Magazine. The only date I have on it is 02-09 which I think means February 1909 not 2009 however I think this is a reproduction because the paper is so bright. I believe (though not signed) the artist is Shelia Young. If anyone has information about this possible reprint, please let me know.
I found this lovely newspaper sheet on ebay (link) but wanted to share it. The doll has four outfits with matching hats and a Turkey. Perfect for Thanksgiving. No exact date but 1930s and most likely November. From the Detroit News. (note, I will take this link down if requested by the ebay owner.)
Sorry, link only. I don't own the image but thought it was one everyone would enjoy seeing.
These two pages are from Golden Magazine dated November 1966. The artist is Neva Schultz. Golden magazine had many paper doll pages, some months were only one page, others had a two page spread. This set features a boy and girl, each with one costume and accessories. Can you believe it's almost Thanksgiving!? I haven't designed a Thanksgiving paper doll for this year yet (not sure I have time now!)
This beautiful newspaper sheet features Winnie Winkle and two lovely outfits, including a gorgeous bridal gown. These were created by "Branner" and published in various newspapers. This sheet is from Oregon and is dated 6-16-1935.
Dolly Dingle sure had a lot of friends. Above is a boy named Junior along with his dog. He has foru outfits, including a Boy Scout uniform. This full sheet is from the Pictorial Review and is dated May 1924. The artist is Grace G Drayton.
Here are some pages from Dollmaking Projects and Plans magazine from Fall 1986. I've included the two page paper doll, featuring two boys and the pages of instruction and pattern for a cloth doll named Heather. There are other pages in the magazine, the magazine is all black and white.
This full page paper doll features Dolly Dingle and four costumes along with two hats. The artis is Grace G Drayton. This page was published in the Pictorial Review for the June 1932 issue. the main colors are red and blue with some black and brown.
Here is a beautiful two page paper doll featuring the Madame Alexander's Margaret O'Brien Doll made in 1947. The paper doll has three lovely outfits a lots of accessories including two hats. These pages are drawn by Karen Reilly and was published in the June/July issue of Doll Reader 2007.
I'll be honest. I subscribe to OPDAG's Paper Doll Studio but I do not subscribe to the Paperdoll Review. It's a magazine featuring articles about vintage paper dolls and collecting paper dolls. Above is a scan of the front and back cover and one inside page from the Spring 2000 issue number 19. I do have a few issues of Paperdoll Review from a lot I purchased as well as some newer issues that I bought at the Paper Doll Convention I attended in Phoenix this year.
