The Martha Washington Doll Book by Aline Bernstein and the publisher is Howell, Soskin. The book has a copyright date of 1945, I did not include the scan of the story. Spiral bound. Two doll figures and period clothing.

Old Alice

 

Sometimes a project gets pushed aside forgotten about abandoned.  Here is an Alice I created in 2022 I started coloring the three black and white pages but never finished the third page. Since it's unlikey I will, I posted what I have completed, two colored pages. I never finished because I ended up not liking the color pallet I went with on the last page. I am going to try and start/finish post some more projects even if they aren't done. 

Drag Then and Now

 

Paper dolls in the wild always surprise Mr. This book from the library called "the Art of Drag" had a two page spread Paper Doll featuring Drag Then and Now. The author is Jake Hall and the illustrators are Sofia Birkin, Helen Li and Jasyot Singh Hans. It can be found at amazon here :book

Japanese Magic Tree House

 

Volume 7 of the Japanese Magic Tree house featuring Ponpei saigo no hi and Shi Kōtei kara kinsho o sukue! which translate to  Vacation under the volcano and Day of the dragon king.  Features the two characters Jack and Aniie with two costumes each.  For more magic tree house paper dolls  https://missmissypaperdolls.blogspot.com/search?q=magic+tree+house.  This book is from my library so there is tape on the pages that I cannot remove.

Janguru no okite

Ai to yūjō no gorira

Two more Japanese Magic Tree House books arrived at the library. Issue 10 Janguru no okita and  Kangarū kyūshutsu sakusen or "Tigers at Twilight" and "Dingoes at Dinnertime"  Each book has two stories and paper dolls featuring the girl and boy character.  Magic Tree house is written by Mary Pope Osborne.  The second is issue 13 which features " ai to yujo no gorira" which includes the stories "Stage fright on a summer nights" and "good morning gorillas"  These are from my library, so some tape is on the covers and i cannot remove it.

My Little Blue Story Book

I love vintage children's books, especially the illustrations. These pages are scanned from My Little Blue Story Book Revised Edition by The Ginn Basiscs Readers.  This is from 1961.  Not all pages or illustrations are shown here, just a few of my favorites.

Barbie Jewel Secrets Big Coloring Book

I did not scan all the coloring pages, but focused on the paper doll and outfits along with one page I thought was pretty.  This coloring book is from Golden published in 1987 and features Mattel's Jewel Secrets Barbie.  The paper doll has 4 dresses and 2 accessories, all which can be colored. 

Hansel and Gretel

Hansel and Gretel Story and Playbook by Wonder Books features a lovely set of paper dolls.  The base dolls are on the back of the book and 4 pages (2 pages per doll) are inside.  The book also has the story, games, and other paper toys.  My copy is missing the cut out ginger bread house :( or I would have included it here as well.This was published in 1954.

Little Red Riding Hood

This is a paper doll from the Little Golden Activity Book titled Little Red Riding Hood.  The book was published in 1959 by Golden Press.  The doll is front and back with 10 pages total.  The artist is Sharon Koester.   The book includes an illustrated story, not shown above, of the classic fairy tale.
