turnabout dolls

This is a set from 1943 called Turnabout Dolls from Samuel Lowe.  I believe they are reprinted from other sets.  The dolls are double sided and can be flipped (hence turnabout)  I only have three dolls (six if you count both sides) and one is very damaged.  these are very fragile.

Marvelous Fun and Gmes Spiderman

I don't know much about this super hero paper dolls. It is from Courier ( or Courier Express?) newspaper. The art is by Owen McCarron and the page is called Marvelous Fun and Games.  I have a few of these pages.  This one features Spider-Man/Peter Parker.  It is dated October 29 1978.  Please let me know if you are able to view this full size (right click open new tab) seems to work now on the 'new' blogger.

Lalaloopsy Paper Dolls

Charlotte Charades

Peanut Big Top
Here are two Lalaloopsy paper dolls I've designed.  These were featured in the Circus Issue of OPDAG's Paper Doll Studios Issue 104. These are based on the MGA dolls.  Charlotte Charades is a mime and Peanut Big Top is a clown.  I've designed a few pages of these but I still have a lot of characters to finish, especially since MGA is always adding to the line.  These were created using Adobe Illustrator.  I feel the layout is a little cluttered because I tried to get all the outfits to fit on one page.  Also, 700th post.

Deanna Durbin 1940

love the fish purse.

Here's a lovely set of three dolls of the actress Deanna Durbin by Merril publishing company 1940. I believe this set is almost complete, but it is cut so it may be missing small pieces or outfits.  These were once mounted in a scrapbook but fortunately for me, the double stick tape was so old it came off easily leaving no residue or discoloration to the dolls or clothing.  Again, this is a busy work week for me, so I may not have time to post.  Also the next poll is delayed because I need to do more research on magazine dolls.  Enjoy!
