This newspaper paper doll is quite large.   The artist is Dan Rudolph.  This is from the Dramatic Section of the Cleveland News and Sunday News Leader. The papers has aged, and it uses a red and blue dual color. No exact date but copyright is 1924.  The doll has three outfits and four pairs of shoes along with four hats.  I like the square base for the shoes, very unique.  I wonder what the initials HDW stand for on her dress holding the sewing basket.

Nora and Tilly

This paper doll sheet is from Woman and Home magazine, dated August 1956.  It features two girls who are twin sisters. Each girl has a dress.  One is blue with pink trim and the other pink with blue trim.  This one dates September 1956The Text reads:

Have you noticed our twins are growing their hair.  They wear little Alice bands now.  Tilly is the tomboy of the two- but with oh, such a warm heart!

Main:

Such a lovable pair.. A girl will delight in cutting them out and fitting on their dresses.

One day Nora and Tilly were in their playroom with their heads close together in deep conversation.  "They're quiet up there," thought Mummy (me imagines a mummy in wrapping here) "I wonder what mischief they're up to." She went up and put her head round the door.
"We were just wishing Daddy kept a shop" they said. "We could have fun serving behind the counter." "Well, how would you like to run the White Elephant stall at our Church Bazaar?" said Mummy.
"What's a 'White Elephant' stall?" asked Tilly. "It's where people send all the things they don't want, like an old lampshade or a teapot" said Mummy, "and why not make a few things yourselves out of some old bits of material?"  The next day they roped in several of their school-friends and in less then no time they had a splendid collection for their stall"
At last came the day of the bazaar.  A very grand lady was coming to open it and the children drew lots as to who was to present the Duchess with a bouquet.  "I hope Nora wins" said Tilly.  "She can curtsy so gracefully.  I always fall over backwards" Well, Nora won, and after the opening ceremony, she hurried off to their stall to start business.  "Where's Tilly?" She asked, but no one had seen her.
Suddenly, they spotted Tilly threading her way though the crowd.  "I had to run home to fetch a little parcel I had forgotten/" She said.  "What is it?" asked Nora. "Something for the stall?" "Well yes," said Tilly, "But I don't suppose anyone will buy it," and she tore off the paper and string and there was a funny little needle-case mad out of tiny pieces of flannel, all different colors and filled with needles of all sizes.
"Where did you get it?" asked Nora. "I made it myself," said Tilly. "But i'm afraid the stitches aren't very neat." "I think it is beautifully made" said a strange voice behind them. "I would like to buy it for my daughter's work-basket." They all turned to see who the customer was, and believe you me, it was the Duchess herself! After that, there was a rush of people round their stall, everything was sold.

Greeting Card

This cute card is from Carlsen company and features 4 pages of clothing for the doll on the back. The artist is Bente Olsen.  This is from Denmark.  I've been playing a lot of the new game Animal Crossing due to my classmates always chatting about it.  In the game you have a net and fishing pole and catching things and the card reminded me of that. She has 4 dresses, 4 tops, 4 skirts, 3 pairs of shoes and lots of cute accesories.

Holland is known all over the world for its windmills, tulips, and quaint children's costumes.  Here are Jan and Wilhelmina dressed in their best clothes.  Aren't they Sweet.

This is in full color and from around the 1940s I believe.

Happy St Patrick's Day

A quick paper doll.  She has two outfits and a skirt that can go over her swimsuit.  didn't think I would finish before today but managed.  Can't find my school flash drive.  Probably left it at school (which is bad, cause now school is closed :p).  Oh well.

General UPDATE

Hey yall.  So a lot is going on in the world, am I right?  In Vegas here, much has happened.  Schools and libraries are now closed.  I work at a library, so no work for me until it opens again.  But I still get paid thankfully.  Stores are pretty cleaned out.  Lucky we did stock up just a little before the craze hit.  No, we aren't hoarding, just a bit extra in case we're stuck inside for few days.  On spring break now, but when school starts back up it will be all online.  I do have a bit of homework to work on this week.  Anyway, long story short, I will TRY to use some of my free time to sort through and scan paper dolls and work on projects.  (but again, still school stuff).  Paper dolls are great activities for kids so if you have a printer, feel free to print some sheets for the little ones that maybe stuck at home.  Stay healthy (and sane) everyone!

St Patrick's Day Barbie Card

I used the same base I used for my Christmas card here and Valentine's Day card here.  Fold each page in half, and staple together to make a card.  There are eight outfits total with a few matching hats.  Most are base on actual Barbies but some are made up (rainbow shirt and clover dress)  The front says Happy St. Patrick's Day, A Paper Doll Just for you and the inside says "Wishing You Luck on St. Patrick's Day"

School Project Character Stickers

Not paper dolls!  This was a project for school were we created our own character stickers.  We had to make at least six with two animated.  Well I made eleven with three animated gifs (pardon the puking rainbows).  This is based on my imaginary friend Ruby Rose Jewelheart the 3rd (or Rose for short).  As you can see, the stickers represent different emotions, like emojis.  Stickers are often used in communication apps.  Expressions include: Bored (...), dizzy animated gif, happy/beaming, blowing a kiss/hearts, laughing/haha, okay/thumbs up, sick/puking rainbows animated gif, shy, sleeping, shiney/sparkles aniamted gif, and upset/angry.

Miriam

This newspaper paper doll is quite discolored from age.  This is Miriam and She's Going to Meet Your Doll Family.  This panel is by Laura Brock.  It includes one girl, looking over her shoulder (love the pose) along with two outfits and a little dog.  It is dated 1-14 1934.  The text reads:

Miriam
Here we find Miriam getting dressed so that she can meet members of the Doll Family.  She is going to wear her prettiest dress and the hat with a red feather on it.  If it's chilly, she'll wear her new coat too.  If Peke, her doggie, promises to be real good Miriam may take her along with her.

Hi, Keeds!!! Here's Yer Cut-Out!

Today's newspaper paper doll is Bing Brown.  He has one full outfit and a jacket.  Very colorful character.  There is also play money.  This is dated 4-30-1933.  I haven't been posting much because I seem to be having an issue with the blogger.  I go to upload a picture, click away from the website to let it load, and then come back-nothing!  It reloads a blank page.  So I have to stay on the page while the image loads. Weird.
