This paper doll is from 6-5-1941. It is a full page but I have not scanned the comic yet. She has 4 outfits, 3 hats and an extra pair of shoes. One of the outfits reminds me of a wedding dress and the one next to it is very patriotic. The doll is in profile, which is a nice pose.

These two dolls are from the set New Quintuplet Dolls by Merrill. I only have two dolls and they did not come with any outfits. I made three outfits for each doll and used marker to color. Marker is a medium I have not worked with very much so I am experimenting with techniques. I may not post much this week.

Mini Manniquin
Here is a paper doll base called Mini Mannequin with handmade clothes. The clothes are colored with crayon and based on the original outfits from the set. I believe this paper doll is from Finland.

Here is another vintage children's school book I picked up from the library. It's in rough shape, with a split spine, some taped pages, and torn edges. The artwork is fantastic and is credited in the book as being by: George Garland, Bob Candy, Art Saaf, Phoebe Erickson, and Catherine Scholz. The book was published by Ginn and Company, the copyright is 1957. The book is over 200 pages long, so not all the pages are shown here. Most pages have an illustration included, and the title pages have a large full page drawing. Since the book is in such poor shape, I may use it for altered art projects in the future.

Betty Fields
Here is another paper doll from a goodwill lot purchase. This doll is the celebrity Betty Fields but she is missing her feet. This is a Saalfield set published 1943. The set is not complete and some of the clothing is damaged.
