Valentine Card

So I created a Valentine Card this year using a vintage Valentine for the base.

For the front cover, the card says "You are "Cut Out" to be My Valentine."  The doll wears a pink slip with white socks and black shoes.  She has blonde curly hair.  The inside of the card has a nurse outfit with cap, a bee costume with brown bob hair and matching shoes, and a maid outfit with hair accessory.  The puns are "Love Sick?"  "Bee Mine!" and "I was Maid for U"  The inside says "Be a Goodie Two Shoes and be My Valentine!" along with two pairs of shoes (get it!?) along with some space to write a message.  The back has six vintage dresses in pastel colors all inspired by vintage Valentine cards.

Hula Girl Paper Doll

This cute doll was drawn by Yuko Green for Doll World magazine August 1996.  She has four outfits, two skirts, two hats, and two pairs of shoes.

Dolly Dingle, Bobby Blake, and the story of little Mary

This Dolly Dingle paper doll dates from February 1922.  The doll has one outfit and a matching hat.  Her friend, Bobby Blake, is dressed as a mouse.  This is from the Pictorial Review and drawn by Grace G Drayton. 

Dolly Dingle September 1917

This doll is from Dolly Dingle's Trip Around the World when she was in Holland.  This doll dates from September 1917 from the Pictorial Review magazine and was created by Grace G Drayton.  This is not complete.  she has two dresses and one hat but is missing her friend and and some accessories.

This two page magazine paper doll is from the artist Karen Reilly from Doll Reader magazine.  i'm afraid I don't have the date written down.  She has three outfits, two hats, a dog, a fan, and an umbrella. 

Child Life

This magazine page features a male paper doll with two outfits and a cut little dog.  This Child Life Your Dress and Dolly's page was designed by Chiquet and dates February 1930.

The text below reads:
Jack loves his Valentine puppy most to pieces.  He wishes every little boy could have one as nice.  Valentines are not the only nice things that come through the mail in envelopes.  Patterns are fine, too, especially those like Jack's flannel and jersey suits and chinchilla top-coat.

Boots
