Paper Doll Collaberation 2018 June Bride

Where did this month go!  I love wedding dresses.  I love drawing wedding dresses.  Above are two beautiful bridal gowns.  The first is a short vintage inspired dress with flower applique.  The second is a long trumpet gown with beaded detail and a bouquet.  It's a lot easier for me tor draw beading and lace by hand, on the computer it's a bit harder because I don't like to copy and paste... I want a hand drawn look!  I gave her a short veil with some glitter detail.  I did one more sketch of a big Cinderella style ball gown but didn't have any time to do the computer lines.  When I tried on wedding dresses, I was very surprised how heavy the things are!  Especially the ball gowns! This may be my last post for a week.

Kellogg's Krumbles Scotland

Kellogg's Krumbles was a cereal.  This is from the back of the box and features two cut out figures with traditional outfits from Scotland.  The boy has 2 outfits, the girl has 1.  The texts says "The Scots are a handy race. Men and boys wear kilts (short skirts) and go with bare knees all year 'round.  They dance the Highland Fling with great skill."  This is from around the 1940s.

Novi Stars OC sketch paper doll

So sometimes I do little doodle paper dolls and never do much with them.  The above is a paper doll of a Novi Star doll based on designs I sketched out forever ago.  I changed a hair style to make it easier to put on the doll.
Originally I was going to color this and do more fashions, but I think it's just another project I'll never finish.

Tiny Tots

This uncut book is called Tiny Tots Paper Dolls with Red Flocked Clothing.  The red parts of the outfits are 'fuzzy'.  This is a Whitman set from 1967.  The dolls and outfits are punch-out, so no scissors are needed.  There are two cute dolls, Cathy and Carolyn.  And 6 sheets of outfits.  The cover art and inside of the cover/pocket for the clothes is adorably illustrated.  The dolls, I believe, can share the outfits.

Muriel

This newspaper sheet is a black and white paper doll named Muriel.  She has two outfits.  The newspaper has discolored, so now the page is more yellow.  This doll is by an artist named Laura Brock, whom I have a few paper dolls from and I will post later.  This is dated 1934 but I don't know the month.  I believe these are from the Seattle Star newspaper.
