This is what appears to be a homemade paper doll made from a magazine or catalog.  She is dated 1929 on the back of the outfits.  Afraid she's a bit damaged on the top of her head.  she has 5 outfits, though non have tabs.

Happy New Year 2019

I was hoping to post this yesterday but I finished it last night. (no color again...!)  The idea was to make dresses/outfits inspired by cocktails.  So here's three, the top is champagne, the one under it is martini and the one on the bottom is red wine.  Hope everyone has a wonderful New Year!

Paper Doll Collaberation 2018 April Favorite Flower

So this months theme was favorite flower.  I'll admit I rushed lining this one a bit to get it done in time, so it's a bit rough around the edges.  My favorite flower to draw are roses, hence my character Princess Rose whose always wearing something like the first dress. This dress has matching shoes similar to last months shoes.  Then I drew a dress based on lily of the valley, my current favorite flower (it changes) the hat was inspired by one of my favorite artist Macota Takahashi. like this hat It was supposed to be a cloche, but ended up looking like a swimmers cap, so I drew a swimsuit with a floral print.

Paper Doll Collaberation 2018 March Now and Then/Then and Now

OMG totally spaced posting this yesterday! It's been a crazy week for me.
Alright this months theme was "Now and Then" so taking a vintage outfit and making it modern and taking a modern outfit and making it vintage in sorts is how I interpreted it..  For the first outfit I used a fashion plate for inspiration here  and made a casual every day version inspired by the details.  For the second dress I took a casual every day outfit here and created a vintage dress inspired by the fabric and patterns.  The lines on the bottom of the dress are supposed to be the stitched detail of the jeans.  Added some shoes and hats.  The hats, I have no idea if they will actually fit.

New Dressing Dolls

I don't know much about these two dolls. They appear very similar to Samuel Gabriel Sons My dolly Series but aren't quite the same.  The most notable difference is the doll has bows on her dress. Also I believe these are much smaller These are also marked "Comfort" Augusta, ME and may have been used for advertisement.   I have 2 dolls, (the boy is pretty beat up) along with 2 envelopes.  The boy only has one blue outfit with a hat, (uncut) and the girl has 3 outfits, 1 green 1 pink, and 1 blue.  I have 3 matching hats, and 1 extra pink which suggest there was another pink outfit.  i found this auction picture, that seems to be similar and mentions the envelope as well https://www.theriaults.com/node/25731

If anyone has additional information, please let me know.

Mommy and Me

Here is a four page paper doll I've designed featuring a mother and daughter with matching outfits. Some of the dresses are more complimentary then straight up matching.  I used old ads and sewing patterns as inspiration.  It is not colored, I thought mothers and daughters would have fun coloring the pages together.  Maybe mom does the mom outfit, and daughter does the one for the little girl.  These dolls are hand drawn in pencil then lined ink.  There are 19 matching outfits for a total of 38 dresses.  There are also 3 pairs of shoes per doll.  I did 'test' the dolls and one of the mother's outfits does not fit 100%, I haven't fixed it yet.

Lalaloopsy Paper Dolls

Charlotte Charades

Peanut Big Top
Here are two Lalaloopsy paper dolls I've designed.  These were featured in the Circus Issue of OPDAG's Paper Doll Studios Issue 104. These are based on the MGA dolls.  Charlotte Charades is a mime and Peanut Big Top is a clown.  I've designed a few pages of these but I still have a lot of characters to finish, especially since MGA is always adding to the line.  These were created using Adobe Illustrator.  I feel the layout is a little cluttered because I tried to get all the outfits to fit on one page.  Also, 700th post.

Mom Queen Bee

Here is my second mother's day paper doll for 2014.  This one is a Princess/Queen theme featuring characters from Disney movies such as: Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Belle, Merida from Brave, and Elsa from Frozen.  I do not own these characters but this is fanart/parody.  The model is similar to the Super Hero theme but in a different pose.  Some of the text did not scan in as well as I would hope and my scanner is still making things a little blue/grey.  Please no negative comments on the model's shape.  The colored version of this doll will be posted tomorrow.

Super Mom

Here is my 2014 Mother's Day Paper Doll in black and white!  She has super hero themed outfits.  I do not own any of the heroes on this page, the copyright belongs to DC, Marvel, and Pixar.  I am using them as fan art/ parody.  The heroes include: Wonder Woman, Spiderman, Invisible Woman from the Fantastic Four, Mrs. Elastic from the Incredibles, Captain Marvel (aka Shazam) and Superman.  Please do not negatively comment on the model's size.  This is my first time drawing a full figured plus size model.  Most mother's are not twigs.  I have colored this paper doll and will post it soon.  I have a very busy weekend ahead, including a wedding, mother's day, and a job interview

Here is the final color version of Daisy and Lily Easter paper dolls.  I tried to use a lot of light pastel colors for spring, include blues, pinks, and yellows. I added some patterns to a few of the dresses.  Have a Happy Easter.  I may not post this weekend.

witch halloween paper doll

So here's a quick Halloween paper doll I designed using Adobe Illustrator.  I used this photo for the model.  I included classic witch, candy corn witch, Wizard of Oz witch, and pumpkin witch.  I may design a few more paper dolls for Halloween (nurse, vampire, zombie?) if I have time.

misc clothes

Betty Field dress
Clothes without dolls seem quite common when buying cut sets of paper dolls or small lots.  Here are some clothes I have no dolls for.  I am not sure what everything goes to.  The next post will be misc hats and misc accessories.  I am working on coloring some paper dolls and designing a Halloween paper doll for this year (not sure it will be done in time!) If you know any of the outfits/what set they go to, please let me know and I will add a caption.  Thank you.
