Link to New Baby Nancy dressup game

So a few days ago I was contact by Ola, the create of Doll Divine games (a wonderful dress up website https://www.dolldivine.com/)  sent me a link to a game she created using the New Baby Nancy  paper doll  I had scanned on my blog. New Baby Nancy.  The game is made using a website called https://meiker.io/ which allows people to create dress up games without having to code, so I may use it  myself in the future. I love playing dress up games and made one or two in the past but coding takes FOREVER so glad to know this site exists.

Anyway, here is the link to play with the virtual paper doll. https://meiker.io/play/11301/game.html

Thank you Ola.

New News,  The paper doll is now for sale on my Etsy Page

The download paper doll includes 2 pages in color and 2 pages in black and white. She has 6 outfits.
What took so long?  My issue of Doll Castle News got lost in the mail.  I wanted to make sure I received the magazine before posting the doll for sale. I plan on adding more dolls to my Etsy shop soon.

The New Cut-Out for Young Folks

I found this lovely newspaper sheet on ebay (link) but wanted to share it.  The doll has four outfits with matching hats and a Turkey.  Perfect for Thanksgiving.  No exact date but 1930s and most likely November.  From the Detroit News.  (note, I will take this link down if requested by the ebay owner.)

Sorry, link only.  I don't own the image but thought it was one everyone would enjoy seeing.

Dainty Squid Blogger Paper Doll

http://www.thedaintysquid.com/

So a while ago I stumbled across a blog called The Dainty Squid by Kaylah. (link above).  I was very inspired by her "What I Wore" posts and asked if I could do a paper doll inspired by her posts and fashions.  Kaylah thankfully agreed, and here is the result above.  As you may notice, her hair color changes often, which I love.  I gave her 6 outfits and 5 hairstyles, all from references from her blog posts.  I wished to do more, but this took much longer then I anticipated, so I decided to wrap up this project.  I hope to do more blog fashion paper dolls, do you have a blog about fashion?  Want a paper doll? Let me know!

Vinyl Wall Decals

So while in the fabric store the other day, I came across an intresting product.  Wallies vinyl decal featuring two dress up dolls.  I am pretty sure these are from vintage McCalls magazine but does not say Betsy McCall anywhere on the product.

The website also has a very cute doll house decal as well.

A single page magazine doll from Doll Reader October 1997.  There may be another page to this doll or it may have been part of an article.  I do not see an artist but it is from the United States Historical Society.  the website http://www.ushsdolls.com/paperdoll/pdarc.html sites these dolls as from the artist Leigh Anne Shuler.  There are other paper dolls on the website as well. My scanner has decided to stop talking to my computer and I have yet to resolve this issue.  I was hoping to scan in my Halloween paper doll this weekend but until I can fix the problem, that is not going to happen :(.  A new poll is now up regarding the paper doll contest.

Classic French Fashions

Here are a few fashion plates from the book "Classic French Fashions of the Twenties" which was published by Dover in 2012.  The book features reproduction 1920s catalog pages from the artist Atelier Bachwitz.  There are over 50 pages in the book but only a few are shown here since the book was recently published.  I love that the drawings feature the front and back of each outfit, along with some very fabulous hats.  I would recommend this book for those interested in 1920s fashions, the pages are nice a large (these pictures have been cropped) and the colors and patterns look great.  book for sale  in many places for around $20.00.
