Famous-Heroes Color and Play

Here's a box set Colorforms Activity toy which features  Famous-Heroes or more commonly called today, superheros.  This is copyright National Periodical Publications, which I believe is now DC comics and the set is dated 1973. It features: Superman, Superboy, Krypto (the superdog), Aquaman and Aqualad, Batman and Robin, Green Lantern, the Flash, and Wonder Woman.  They are black and white and meant to be colored.  The set comes with 8 Crayola crayons, which are still unused and in the box.  It also says the colors can be wiped off and the figures colored again, but I'm not going to try and see if that works!  The figures also all have stands.

Inktober 25 26 27

Still going!  October is almost over and I managed to keep up with this project so far. Day 25 was Super Heros.  I decided on a star theme.  The first hero is Atomic Star, a classic super hero.  Then the second is Star Dust, a more modern slightly sexy hero, and finally is Secret Star, a spy like super hero similar to Black Widow.  Some boots and a mask to complete the set.
For  Day 26 elements theme I did a fire dress, a leaf/wood nature dress with bark corset, a periodic table of elements shirt, a pair of capris with clouds for wind, and a raincoat with rain print for water along with rain boots.
Day 27 was Zodiac so I included a dress with zodiac symbols, a shirt with the zodiac circle, a pencil skirt with the constellations and another top with the Libra symbol (I'm a Sagittarius but Libra seemed like the easiest to draw).  Also included is a Chinesese style dress called a cheongsam with the Chinese characters for the Chinese Zodiac (I traced these so they would be as accurate as possible), as well as a pair of baggy bell bottoms with stylized animals of the Chinese Zodiac.  Finally I'm not sure about the last dress because it's based on the Zodiac Killer symbols, might be considered tasteless but I feel like it would be something sold at Hot Topic around Halloween.  She also has a pair of slippers.

My prompt list for the month can be found here.

Taking a break from posting Inktober Paper Doll outfits, here's this years Halloween Paper doll.  It is a black and white design that can be colored.  The boy and girl can share costumes.  The costumes are: ghost, clown, pizza, superhero, police officer, and doctor.  I may try to do more costumes but with classwork, I've been very busy.  Have a safe and Happy Halloween.

Quick Halloween Paper Doll

During the weekend I had a yard sale at my house.  Didn't get a lot of traffic or make much money, but I did had out a few sheets of the doll above.  This Halloween themed paper doll was drawn in a day.  She has 4 costumes, a princess, a witch, a fairy, and Arabian princess like Jasmine (or a genie).  She has a witch hat with wig, a princess crown with wig and a hair jewel to match the Arabian outfit.  Her base costume is a Wonder Woman super hero inspired suit.  I have like 4 colored versions of this, since I had not much to do while sitting around at my yard sale.  I'll post those later.  Maybe if I get time, I will do a boy as well to hand out at Halloween.  But it's also Inktober and I'm trying to keep up with that.

Paper Figure

This bright magazine page features an action figure paper doll.  The man has 3 costumes; a spacesuit, a soldier, and a super hero.  Inspired by but not based on any particular action figure, it reminds me of Captain Action.  This two page paper doll was in Haute Doll Magazine August 2013. The artist is H. Kuffel.

Super mom colored

My 2014 Mother's Day Paper Doll in color.  The super heroes are owned by Marvel, DC, and Pixar but this is fanart/parody.  I kept a very simple shading to save time.  I have a second Mother's Day paper doll design that I will post this weekend.  Please no negative comments about the model's size.   The card reads "My mom is... More Wonderful than Wonder Woman.  More Amazing than Spiderman. More Fantastic than The Fantastic 4."  "My Mom is... More Incredible than the Incredibles.  More Marvelous than Captain Marvel.  More Super than Super Man.  My Mom is my Super Hero!"

Super Mom

Here is my 2014 Mother's Day Paper Doll in black and white!  She has super hero themed outfits.  I do not own any of the heroes on this page, the copyright belongs to DC, Marvel, and Pixar.  I am using them as fan art/ parody.  The heroes include: Wonder Woman, Spiderman, Invisible Woman from the Fantastic Four, Mrs. Elastic from the Incredibles, Captain Marvel (aka Shazam) and Superman.  Please do not negatively comment on the model's size.  This is my first time drawing a full figured plus size model.  Most mother's are not twigs.  I have colored this paper doll and will post it soon.  I have a very busy weekend ahead, including a wedding, mother's day, and a job interview

Mother's Day Paper Doll

a mother is... a maid, a nurse, a super hero

a mother is... a teacher, an angel, a chef

a mother is... a juggler, a queen

a mother is... a magician, a seamstress, a genie

Here is my Mother's Day paper doll.  It has costumes of the different roles of mothers (supposed to be humorous).  A mother can wear many hats and do many wonderful things, but many times, mothers are taken for granted.  The most important role of a mother is someone who loves you no matter what.  All the other roles she does out of love.

I am working on a colored version of this paper doll which will be done soon. (I'm on the last page).
