Vintage baby

 

I have this little tiny paper baby in my orphans pile.  I think the artist is Queen Holden.  Most likey meant to be an accessory rather then a paper doll, I decided to make some outfits for the wee little thing.  The black and white version is above and the color version below.  For the color version I used swatches of color from vintage paper dolls to get the pastel colors.

Dubarry pattern paper doll

 

I have been having fun playing with vintage sewing patterns to modify them into paper dolls.  Right now I'm focusing on the Dubarry brand from the 1940s.  Above is pattern 5208 with a doll and dress from the same pattern cover illustration.  I've used the website https://vintagepatterns.fandom.com/wiki/Main_Page to find patterns.

50 Paper Dolls

 

50 paper dolls from the artist Peri Tucker dated 1940 published by Saalfield, number 2313.  This is an incomplete cut set with 10 of the 50 dolls, 7 girls and 3 boys.  a few hats.  54 outfits (assuming I counted correctly.)  I really love the outfits in this set but i'm not the biggest fan of the dolls.
