Wonder Woman Coloring Book Paper Doll

This paper doll is from a Wonder Woman coloring book.  I have 3 pages of black and white clothing along with the back cover with the base doll in her famous costume along with accessories such as her lasso and tiara .  This is from Wonder Woman Homecoming High Jinks by Whitman from 1979

Tillie the Toiler in a glorious font.  This tillie has two outfits. Doll and Dress by Rose Abramovitz.  dated 2-16-1936

Boots paper doll from 8-21-1938.  She has 5 outfits and two hats.  Lovely profile and great colors.  Again wish she had the two gowns from the comic strip.  The dot dress is too cute.

This tillie has hats!   Four hats and one head.  Along with a fashion illustrated doll.  Dated 2-9-1936.  doll head and hats by Anna Alexopoulus.  Also buy a pattern for the dress shown!  15 cents!

This boots paper doll is in a wonderful walking pose.  This one is dated 8-28-1938.  She has 6 oufits and a hat.  Love the colors on this.  Wish she had the long green dress from the panel to the side.

So some of the names might be off on these.  It might be Dolly Dingles Wartime Christmas or something similar for the first two little dolls.  Sets are not complete. Artist is Grace G Drayton and these are from Pictorial Review magazine.

Paper Doll Template

 

Here are two templates you can use to make some Valentine card paper dolls.  The idea is that you can print them out and decorate as you want.  Add color, hair, whatever you want!  And the doll's arms can be folded over to hold a piece wrapped candy or pencil or other little Valentine treat.  Write a Valentine message on the back of the doll.  Have fun! Queen Holden Baby Ann

 

This baby paper doll set is from the artist Queen Holden.  Baby Ann is from Whitman and is dated 1932.  The book number is #943.  This is a cut vintage set and may be missing some items.  It is larger then 8.5x11.  Merrimack made a reproduction in 1985 but I don't know if the size was the same.  The dolls are quite large, especially the nurse/nanny.  Nurse has one outfit and hat and can push the carriage.  The larger pieces have instructions on how they are to be used with the paper doll.  Baby Ann 6 outfits.  Lots of tiny accessories with this set including a doll with coat and hat, a bear with extra outfit, a dog with a sweater outfit, and a baby doll (I have two for some reason) with three tiny outfits and a hat. (so so tiny!) bits and pieces can be slid into the bigger furniture.  Very nice set with lots of creative ideas!

Tillie the Toiler fashion parade.  from 2-2-1936.  This doll has three oufits and a hat including a clown costume?  Doll costume and sailor suit by Helen Stankevich.  I guess someone else did the other gown?  Someone paid a 1.00 once for this old newspaper panel.

Sears Catalog Doll

 

I created this doll by modifying outfits from the Sears catalog Spring and Summer 1957.  It's not perfect by any means but was a fun project to try.  I may make more of these catalog dolls in the future.  Not sure how well her hats will stay on.

The thing I always found most facinating about Tillie is how different each of the dolls is.  This one even has a little dog!  She has two outfits.  Doll and dresses by Marvel Humpage.  1-26-1936.
