1929

This is what appears to be a homemade paper doll made from a magazine or catalog.  She is dated 1929 on the back of the outfits.  Afraid she's a bit damaged on the top of her head.  she has 5 outfits, though non have tabs.

American Greeting Card

For Mommy on Mother's Day

There are lots and logs
of mothers
North and south
and east and west
But Mommy, you're so good to me
I know that your'e the best
That's why I think
it's lots of fun
To send a card like this
and to wish you
"Happy Mother's Day"
with a great big hug and kiss!
XO
Sharon and Donald
Here are three various mother's day cards that to me, look like reused Easter cards!  Scanned backs if any information was on back regarding maker, but last one just had numbers.  No mother's day paper doll this year from me, just not any time.

The Wishing Well
I went to the antique store yesterday with my mom and to my surprise I found these NOS (New old stock) Easter cards for just fifty cents each!  Additional bonus, the booth was 20% off, so they were even less then that.  I bought one of each design I could find.  I scanned the backs to most, but some had a blank back or just numbers, so I didn't include those ones.  Some have foil that did not scan very well, too shiny I suppose.  Hope everyone has a wonderful Easter!

A Joyous Easter!

A break from the previous posts of paper doll project to share a vintage Easter card.  This card is designed by Marjorie B Harter and is from Rust Craft, dated 1948.  The inside is signed but I included a Photoshop version without the added text.

I have a small sleeve full of miscellaneous black and white paper doll sheets of unknown origin.  I believe some are from old Paper Doll Newsletters, but others have no text on the back and may be from old conventions or simply sold by the artist as prints or maybe photo copies.  If anyone recognizes anything and knows a bit more detail, please let me know.
