This is a cut version of the Wide World of Costumes paper doll from 1904.  She has three costumes but is missing the hats. McLoughlin Bros. is the publishing company

Faux Friends Paper Doll Ad

Sadly this paper doll set would not actually function very well.  Featured is a two page spread of Friends Stars Jennifer Aniston and Courtney Cox with outfit ideas.  The outfits are scaled too small however you could always make your own stylish wardrobe for the two women. This is from Cosmopolitan Magazine 1998 October.

And its earthy tones match perfectly with her honey-colored hair and tawny skin.

Under Courtney it reads: Courteney Cox may make her living in in flashy L.A. but she dressed like an understated New Yorker. Her closet of gray and black basics is simple yet striking- just like her dark brown bob, pale skin, and piercing blue eyes.

This single page paper doll is broken into two parts as a fold in a smaller spread most likely an old issue of Doll Castle news however it is not labeled with a month or year. The doll has one dress, two tops and a skirt along with two hats. The artist is Lauren Welker.  Though I would assume the address is not to date. 

Miss Consuelo Vanderbilt

 

This is a three panel paper doll almost formed like a card. It features Miss Consuelo Vanderbilt on November 189% Marries the Duke of Marlborough and she is labeled as the first "Poor little Rich Girl" This is drawn by the talented Brenda Sneathnen Mattox and was published in the Spring 1998 Victorian Sampler. I am cleaning up some old files and found a flash drive of scans of paper dolls I don't believe I've posted. It's been hard to keep track and organize what parts of my collection are on the blog and what is not. This black and white paper doll features a topsy-turvy style doll which can be flipped. It features three costumes and a cat.  the aritst name looks like it says Trevette . This is from Country Crafts Magazine 1992

However I've been pretty unmotivated on a whole to make anything new, art or otherwise other then a few sketches. School has been physically, emotionally, and intellectually draining.  I've been stressed, anxious, depressed, and otherwise not interested in my usual hobbies. But I am trying. Even the idea task of organizing or scanning paper dolls has not been one I can tackle right now. So blog is still on hiatus until I am in a mood to actually enjoy it again.
